These used surplus cleaning kits are the type that slip into the trap door of an AK47 stock. These will work with .30 cal barrels.
5.45 and 5.56 barrels are too narrow, and the metal part of the brush or jag will not fit.

What I recieved is almost what I expected for a surplus kit. Bore brush showed heavy usage and was about half bald. The kit was missing the screwdriver. The jag and punch were in good condition.

Cleaning kit quality
The kit I received had a synthetic (plastic) bristle bore brush and one side looked as to be melted halfway away. Other than the bore brush all other components and parts are en excellent condition.
