Historical Background

Following the Soviet adoption of the AK-47, Bulgaria began licensed production of Kalashnikov rifles and accessories in the 1950s at its state arsenal in Kazanlak (Factory 10, now Arsenal AD). The 6×2 bayonet was the first standardized bayonet pattern for the AK platform, originally introduced with the Soviet AK-47 and later produced by allied Warsaw Pact nations, including Bulgaria.
