FBP M/948 9mm Parts Kit – Portuguese Cold War Submachine Gun

If this SMG looks familiar, your subgun knowledge is impressive! The FBP M/948 was Portugal’s first homegrown submachine gun, developed shortly after WWII. Its design drew inspiration from several well-known firearms of the era—resulting in a unique hybrid.

The overall layout and action are reminiscent of the American M3 "Grease Gun," while elements like the bolt and recoil system borrow heavily from the German MP40. Additionally, the magazine housing is compatible with Sten magazines, rounding out this eclectic, battle-tested build.

Used extensively during Portugal’s Cold War campaigns in Angola, Mozambique, and Guinea-Bissau, the FBP M/948 proved itself as a tough and reliable service weapon.
