These are original new old surplus Military AK slings from the famous Hungarian FEG Factory. It's rare to find these slings in new old surplus condition, so we jumped all over this small batch we found. These slings work great with AK's and have a metal hook to secure to the AK sling mount. These are 50+ year old slings, so it's possible they will have some small amounts of mold, rust, corrosion, and stains that require a little wipe down with a leather conditioner oil when you receive it. They look amazing for their age, but anythings possible with items of this age.

Stash away a piece of history for your Hungarian AK's!

    AK Leather Sling

I took a chance and ordered two of these. They arrived yesterday and upon inspection they were very clean, the leather was not cracked, and I was very pleased with the overall appearance and functionality of the slings. I think they’re a real bargain.

Mine smelled like a dead raccoon's rear end, but was in very nice condition! Cleaned it thoroughly and used some mink oil to condition it and darkened up nicely! Ordering another one now!

    Good Sling

Posted by Monster on May 21st 2023

I purchased this sling to add to my collection of authentic accessories for my AMD65. It arrived in ok condition for its age. The leather was light/dry and needed oil, while the metal hardware was a little corroded. I cleaned up the metal with a wire brush and Nitro solvent, then coated it in gun oil, and rubbed down the leather with leather conditioner oil several times. The sling cleaned up nicely from the effort, and I am satisfied with the purchase. I recommend it to all AMD enthusiasts.

    Very Nice Sling

Posted by Dewell on May 20th 2023

I was prepared to invest in a cheap leather conditioner or cleaner to bring this sling up to snuff but no need. Mine is like new blonde leather, no stains nor mold and has that wonderful old leather smell. For about a 20 dollar bill dropped off at my house, I am quite pleased. The sling is installed on a JTS M12-AK 12 gauge and it lends a rustic attitude to the gun that I've been striving for. I wish I could post a pic.

    Leather slings

Posted by Johnny on May 12th 2023

These are nice sturdy slings. They arrived a little crusty, leather very light in color and the metal was filmed in a light crust. After using a leather boot product once they darkened up quite a bit and look great. Oiled the metal a little and it's fine as well. I'll give them a few more applications of the grease and they should be nice and pliable and they even smell good. They're also thick tough leather with secure rivets, if that's what you call them. A good product for 12$. Buy a few. Can't really go wrong.

Okay, but needs work to restore.

Sling seems to be as-advertised. Smells musty and dingy, the metal bits have some light tarnishing, but no signs of rot or mold. Just old leather that will need some serious conditioning treatment to get into a usable state. Not sure if that's possible, considering how dry this leather is, but it was worth a roll of the dice to see how it turns out.

FEG AK Leather Military Sling *New old surplus*

Posted by Tim on Apr 29th 2023

These are a very good deal. It is evident that these had never been used. The ones I received were a little stanky and musty (One would reasonably expect this from "New old stock") but after hanging in the garage for a few days, the smell was gone. The musty appearance went away after using leather cleaner and conditioner. The leather is heavy duty and has a good thickness. I'm very happy with these. You can tell these are very durable and constructed for rugged use. I can't imagine how these could ever wear out, These will certainly outlast any cloth type of sling.

    FEG AK Leather Military Sling

The sling was in really good condition with the exception of the leather being exceptionally stiff. I used a good leather conditioner on it and it softened up just a little (enough to make it sort of usable). The metal parts were all in really good condition...nor rust or green corrosion. A pretty good surplus sling overall.
