After extensive testing, we have found a simple way to eliminate a large amount of the gas in Kalashnikov pattern rifles and pistols from entering the Receiver and BCG area. This is a great benefit when shooting suppressed and unsupressed.
How It Works
Whenever a round is fired in your Kalashnikov, the gas travels through the bore into the gas block. From the gas block the gas impacts the piston head and drives the bolt carrier to the rear position ejecting the spent casing.
After impact on the piston head, the gas and generally excess gas flows around the piston rod through the gas tube, making its way into the BCG and occasionally the shooters face (when shooting suppressed and/or excessively gassed).
When installed, the Kalash Gas Trap stops a majority of this gas from leaving the gas tube. The Gas Trap is installed directly to the piston and "traps" the excess gas, which is instead vented out through the holes in your gas block or gas tube.

Helps eliminate a majority of the excess gas leaving the gas tube traveling to the BCG and trigger components.
-
Keeps the BCG cleaner by retaining the gas inside the trap/tube
-
Helps prevent gas from entering the shooters face when shooting suppressed
-
Easy to install/clean, no gun smithing and does not require piston removal.

Does not work with KNS piston
Had this installed on my SLR106 with a KNS piston, and within 2 mags it completely destroyed itself and filled my rifle with red scotchbrite. I'm sure this works good with factory pistons based off the creators testimony, that's why I'm giving 3 stars as I tested with the KNS even tho it doesn't state that it fit. Was worth a gamble for the price though.
