These Rare Romanian MD 63 Underfolders AKM 47's are highly collectable and make excellent compact 7.62x39 rifles! Carefully demilled and offered in a variety of grades. These kits were issued so expect wear but they are still fully operational. They will have finish wear and possibly carvings, cracked upper handguards, small dents, and dings in parts and or the wood furniture.
Grades:
BFPU Non-Matching: These may have minor issues such as finish wear, front sight post tweaked in, and typical battlefield issues like cracked upper handguards. These rifles were selected by our agent out of a lot of Cat 3/Battlefield Rifles so expect parts and furniture to show wear similar to our Military Battlefield Md 63's. That could include carvings in the stock sets/trench art, rust, finish wear, dents/dings in the dust cover, tweaked front sight posts/ears pushed inwards, and cracks in the upper hg. The rifles we received are still in fully functional condition and our selection was focused on selecting rifles perfect for builds that still have a long life ahead. We recommend choosing this grade for those who are experienced with repairing parts. Non-matching kits may come with palm swell handguard instead of dong. Cracked upper handguards is also common.
Matching Numbers: We guarantee matching bolt, bolt carrier, and trunnion. Other parts may match but cannot be guaranteed. Finish may range from BFPU grade or better, but less than CAT II grade.
CAT II All Matching: CAT II kits were issued but are still in excellent condition, standing apart from other matching kits with their excellent finish. We guarantee matching bolt, bolt carrier, dust cover, gas tube and trunnion. Some parts may be non-serialized and would be considered matching.
You will still need to purchase a receiver, rivets, and possibly other small parts to complete this. These are original full auto Military rifles so you must comply with 922r and build this rifle in semi auto.
*Auto rate reducer, reducer spring, curved sear, trip spring, and 3rd pin removed for kits going to the following states:

Kits range from 1967-1980's and only a small portion are from the 60's and have the palm swell handguard (anything 1970 and later will have the reverse dong). Any hand select requsts for 60's dated kits may take a long time to fulfill or be impossible depending on inventory, so we recommend you offer alternative date requests if you are looking for an early model Hand Select.

Great kit
Excellent kit. I got "numbers matching" and they all do. Kit was demilled pretty well, no egging or boo-boos. No rust on anything. Bolt and trunnion show some wear, but not very much. Wood in good shape although the upper HG has a small (but not moving) crack in it. Bakelite grip is in good shape. Parts all went back together on a new AK-Builder barrel and Morrisey receiver with no issues. Only minor problem is the "arms" on the latch ring for the underfolder assy are a bit small for the holes in the trunnion, so there's a fair bit of up and down wobble on the stock. I think a few dabs with my TIG torch should fix that. Hammer spring seemed a little whack, so I got a new braided one from ALG. Also replaced the recoil spring with a new one (standard factory) from Wolff, but I do that with all my builds to keep my brass out of the neighbor's yard. Other than those minor things, this is an excellent kit to build with. If my barrel wasn't in-the-white, I probably wouldn't even bother painting anything and just leave it as a semi-BFPU look. This is my second 63 kit from AoA and both made beautiful rifiles. I used one of the Morrissey receivers (now stamped with Arms Of America as the manufacturer) and everything fit fine, didn't even have to file down the ejector.

Got two kits one is very nice , good finish and wood. One kit is alittle rough the wood is worn more wear on moving parts.

Kit was as advertised. Very pleased. The trunnion was oversized, so I knurled the barrel journal to get it to fit properly. All numbers matching except the carrier spring.
