These Romanian Military AKM47's are some of the last original Military rifles we could find overseas.
Carefully demilled and offered in a variety of grades. These kits were issued so expect wear but they are still fully operational. They will have finish wear and possibly carvings, cracked upper handguards, small dents, and dings in parts and or the wood furniture.

Grades:

BFPU Non-Matching: These may have minor issues such as finish wear, front sight post tweaked in, and typical battlefield issues like cracked upper handguards. These rifles were selected by our agent out of a lot of Cat 3/Battlefield Rifles so expect parts and furniture to show wear similar to our Military Battlefield Md 63's. That could include carvings in the stock sets/trench art, rust, finish wear, dents/dings in the dust cover, tweaked front sight posts/ears pushed inwards, and cracks in the upper hg. The rifles we received are still in fully functional condition and our selection was focused on selecting rifles perfect for builds that still have a long life ahead. We recommend choosing this grade for those who are experienced with repairing parts. Non-matching kits may come with palm swell handguard instead of dong. Cracked upper handguards is also common.

Matching Numbers: We guarantee matching bolt, bolt carrier, and trunnion. Other parts may match but cannot be guaranteed. Finish may range from BFPU grade or better, but less than CAT II grade.

CAT II All Matching: CAT II kits were issued but are still in excellent condition, standing apart from other matching kits with their excellent finish. We guarantee matching bolt, bolt carrier, dust cover, gas tube and trunnion. Some parts may be non-serialized and would be considered matching.

Very Good Non-Matching: CAT II condition kits but some of the parts do not have matching serial numbers.

Early 60's kits (63 and 64): nearly all kits have cracked hardwood furniture (buttstock and both handguards), all palm swell handguards will have cracks. These kits are guaranteed to have major matching parts (Bolt, Carrier, Trunnion). Other minor parts are not guaranteed to match. 1963 was the first year of production for these kits so these are the oldest possible Romanian Md63 kits and very rare to come by!

You will still need to purchase a receiver, rivets, and possibly other small parts to complete this. These are original full auto Military rifles so you must comply with 922r and build this rifle in semi auto.
*Auto rate reducer, reducer spring, curved sear, trip spring, and 3rd pin removed for kits going to the following states:
CA
NY
WA
CT
MA

*Some of these are also oversized barrel trunnions, so it's possible you will need to get an oversized barrel. We can check the trunnion upon request if you place it in the notes PRIOR TO CHECKOUT, requests made AFTER order is placed may not be honored due to order volume.

    1963 md.63

I was happy with it but I think for the wear and damage it has on it it should be a little less expensive. I know 1963’s are rarer but $740 for a kit with cracked wood and the lower handguards are really beat to hell is a tad high.

Good kit turned into an excellent build

Ordered a numbers matching kit, and I received a 1972 kit with every part that could potentially be numbered matching. Only issue would be that the left side of the front trunnion was nicked by a grinder during the demil process. I had it built by the fine gentlemen over at Blackbush Armory, and now it looks excellent. Overall would recommend.

Another batch of serviceable kits with lots of history.

We've built dozens upon dozens of these kits for many customers from AoA at this point, and they have all turned out well. With the number and quality of remaining military parts kits (not commerical) dwindling; one shoudl expect some modest issues or light damage with these; but NOTHING that distracts from the function or build quality IF using a premium receiver, proper barrel and qualified builder. These make excellent battlefield pickup builds, as most of our customers opt to do.

    Thumbs up

I havent built the rifle yet, however I'm happy with what I got for the most part. Everything is in fairly good condition for being BFPU. Now, I knew there were going to be cracks in the wood, however I was suprised to see the top handguard split in half down the middle. It's a little bummer, but at least (somehow) the handguard stays on the gas tube so it's still usable.

    Romanian parts kit

I have bought me four or five of these kids I have lost count they go together flawlessly rivets and everything have been removed without overlaying the holes and I'm trying to find the cheapest ones because I don't have thousands of dollars to waste on this stuff if I did I'd be buying new complete guns. I would get these a five-star rating but I consider four is okay because they're not the best kits these have a lot of things and whatnot which are kind of irrelevant to the function of the gun

    MD 63 kit

Got an all matching kit dated 1974. Looks like it was cut up as soon as it came off the line. No dents, no dings, and the finish is prestine. Nothing to demill but a nice coating of cosmo, make sure to pull the bolt apart as they packed it full.
