Original Military (not the cheap knock offs!) AK47 7.62x39 30rd Magazine- Grade 3 *Used Battlefield condition*

These are original Romanian Military magazines that ship to us with our kits, and are found to be in rough but still functional condition. We check our mags by pressing the follower all the way down, if it functions it is considerted a grade 3, if not then it is a grade 4.

May feature finish wear, small dents or dings, rust, dirt, and other signs of use, but will still be fully functional. Followers have been quality checked.

*For Magazine Capacity Restricted States: we can limit this mag to 10rds; please click here for our pinning service.

    Grade 3 Magazines

Posted by Steve on May 4th 2026

These MIGHT have been Grade 4 (+), or Grade 3(-), but they were NOT Grade 3. I did the follower test on all 10 and only 5, maybe 6, worked, and barely when they did on the approx 2-3 or the remaining mags. I mean, the follower went "down", but not all the way, and would not return on some and rarely on the ones I managed to get the follower down to the bottom of the mag body/base after a "little" extra effort.

I spent a few plus hours using a makeshift mandrel to open the mag bodies up in a variety of locations along there length SO the follower WOULD get to the bottom of its travel path and return. And HOLY COW, the top of the mag, the feed lips, and in front of the feed lips, the rear, OUCH! The follower will work, even if these areas are a disaster, and they were on 5 of them. This includes the base of the mags. One of my mags had a fabricated mag base. It was a solid testament to "non-arms room workmanship", but not to being a Grade 3 magazine.

The mags were what they were and a gamble I was willing to take. But they were not solid or only partial "Grade 3" types. However, I like AoA and will continue to patronize their business as I have before now in the past. But if a review is requested and I don't tell the truth, how will AoA continue to improve?

Good news, I believe I have them all working, and it was a good exercise in "turning 4s into 3s"!

Arrived covered in cosmoline, dissassembled them all and ran them through the ultrasonic. Oiled them, reassembled, all seem to function fine. They are battlefield pickup so dont perfection.

    BFPU mags

I give these a five not on condition but for value in this market. They were definitely used but functional fine, exactly as advertised, and I like the look. I’ve seen cheapo polymer selling as much or more.

    High quality

I was skeptical on the condition because of the price but these run flawlessly! I bought 5 and just this weekend I made sure to fill em all and they all ran without issue. They were definitely used but that doesn’t change how good they work for the price. They come a little dirty with slight surface rust/dirt no surprise there10/10 gonna order more

    Romanian mags

For the general person who wants some cool battle field mags that have been tested for years and actually work for the money you should get some of these! Are they perfect no but do they work yes do they look cool yes so just remember you can go buy some brand new Pmags and then have issues looks don’t make them work or a gun work and if I had the extra cash I’d buy 20 more!

You Get What You Pay For

I ordered 4 of these mags and what I received was pretty much what you see in the photos. However, 3 of them were functional while the 4th mag was missing its front claw. Consequently, it's unusable except as a source for spare mag parts. But I think the other mags will work fine after a thorough cleaning and lubing.

    Good Mags, Need Some Love

Posted by Hunter on Jan 28th 2026

They run no problem, but were absolutely coated in a protective layer of rust. Spent about 30 mins with CLP and a brush to make them look like normal metal again but they are tough and run flawessly.

    Grade 3 Romanian Mags

I have six of these and they all functioned perfectly and the fitment was good also. A few had surface rust but they cleaned up OK. I even received an older one with the Cugir factory stamp. A great buy from AOA.

    Grade 3 Romy AK mags

    Posted by 56type on Jan 23rd 2026

Overall very pleased with the order. Most mags showed a worn finish and were in very good condition. A few had minor dents that were cosmetic only. 2 mags gad rust that required some wire brushing to clean up a few rust spots. All mags in the 2 orders I received were 100% functional. If you need functional AK mags and don't mind a little clean up or possible refinish these are a bargain.
