This is the NEW WBP Picatinny Rail Rear Sight block it will fit just about any standard AKM barrel. This block allows new or upgrade builds to have a native mounting surface for optics or accessories, without requiring the use of additional furniture or mounts.
Instead of uding a traditional locking lever, this RSB uses a spring-loaded detent to hold the gas tube in place. This detent is strong and will need the use of a tool in order to pull it back for placing or removing the gas tube.
While this block does lose the rear iron sight, that can easily be remedied by pairing it with the WBP Special Dust Cover with Sight aperture (SKU: 10175) which will also give a longer sight radius than a standard rear sight block. If a WBP Railed Gas Tube is used with this block, the rails will sit evenly without needing to adjust for different heights.

Galil hybrid
I used this with.an AKM trunion and AMD65 gas tube and piston to build a hybrid Galil SAR on a stamped AKM receiver. I mounted a red dot sight and it co-witnesses perfectly with the sights. It worked so well I ordered another to use with a Galil ARM parts kit.

Rear Sight Replacement
Bought this to replace a rear sight on one of my rifles. looks great, measures right and I cant wait to put on my rifle. the only thing I'll have to customize is the gas tube, the gas tube retainer is not like a traditional one.
