    Works as intended!

Love this lower HG so much I have two of them. Very solid construction and good fit on my WBP parts kit build right out of the box. As another reviewer said, the finish on these are a little fragile and Chios off pretty easily. However, if it works it works, I don’t care much about how it looks since its only gonna get tossed around and beat up anyways. The finish issue in no way impedes function though, it’s merely aesthetic. Good product indeed!

    Gen 2 Handgaurd

The overall quality of this handgaurd is very good. However, the fitting onto my lynx pistol took some filling around the oval lock lug in the back of the gaurd. I recommend to be patiant and follow the advice of a little removal of material at a time and refit the handgaurd to your firearm. This process took me 20 minutes to achieve the proper fit to my satisfaction so that the lower handgaurd retainer would set properly to this handguard.

Functional, cheap, rough finish that flakes easy

Posted by Thomas Bell on Oct 11th 2023

The handguard is very stout, kind of heavy in comparison to similar options, but a very utilitarian design. Very good value, undercuts almost all of the Zenit clones by $50 at least, and closer to $100 on others.

Not a big fan of the rough finish, as it doesn't really match anything else on my rifle. Using an Ultimak gas tube and a TWS Dogleg dust cover on a Sharps milled receiver, and the finish on those 3 parts all have matte finishes on clean surfaces. This has almost a sand blasted and painted finish. The paint flakes off very easy.

Not a criticism, but if you want to use with an Ultimak you either need to take the heat shield out, or cut the heat shield into 2 smaller pieces if you want the springs to work still. You could probably just use the front part, as that has a spring against the retainer and under the barrel.

This lower handguard is of excellent quality.

I installed this lower handguard onto a Polish AK and the fit and finish are excellent. I did not need to modify the handguard but it was a tight fit and that is what you want in a handguard. I would recommend this handguard to anyone who wants to update their AKM.

    Quality

It’s a well made rail. It will fit on the 556 beryls as long as you fit it, by shaving off some of the inner wall of the rail towards the back end

So it's like a zenitco b10m lower handguard but less expensive

Posted by Matthew Tyler Owen on Sep 10th 2021

Pretty much Poland's version of the Russian zenitco lower handguard the b10m

Everything is tough to do on my AK!

Posted by Terry Sevy on Oct 31st 2020

This is the first time I ever put anything on my WASR AK that fit out of the box and that is huge. everything else has taken a lot of time on the bench to get them to fit. I actually used one of my Ski tuning vices to finish the setup...
