This is the Gen 2 version which features a steel insert that protects the metal on metal insert area to maintain a rock solid tight fit. The unit is black oxided and alumina ceramic coated which increases resistance to high temps. After that the unit receives a coat of black paint to finish it off.
This Military grade 100% machined one piece picatinny rail gas tube system was designed by WBP to offer shooters a light weight rock solid and affordable option for mounting optics and accessories. This gas tube system requires fitting and works with most AK's on the market as listed below.
This gas tube rail system will work with most stamped AK's on the market such as Romanian, Polish, Russian, East German, full length Hungarian, Egyptian, and more! Yugo AK's will not be compatible with this unit unfortunately
This one piece machined gas tube system was purposely designed oversized so it can fit all compatible AK's securely. It will require a small amount of filing or dremeling to fit to the rifle. Once the unit is fitted or filed on we will not accept any returns on it under any circumstances so please remove a small amount of material at a time. WBP has supplied an instructional video for users to avoid issues.

Hellpup
My Polish hellpup doesn't have a optic rail. So I figured I'd try this out.
I had, of course to cut over an inch off the length. But then used a step bit to make it properly fit the gas block.
I know this isn't an intended application but I machined it out now it works perfectly.
Very solid optic platform.

Hellpup
Just for the hell of it I bought one of these to put on my Polish hellpup.
After cutting it to the appropriate length I used a STEP drill bit to fit it to the gas block.
Works great.
Even though it's made more for standard AKM'S.

Picatinny Gas tube
Fitted this Picatinny gas tube to one of my builds worked out well for optics you have to do a little fitting but it was worth the extra work. Bought another one along with the Picatinny rear sight block mounted with no extra work in other words had to do no fitting.

Gas tube with rail
Easy to fit. I had to hit all of the surfaces with a file to fit it, but it’s pretty straight forward. Great option for a scout rifle setup.

Excellent
Picked up a few of these for my Fox rifles and they’re amazing. WBP is high quality and I highly recommend their products. You need to remove very little material with a file to get these to fit but they work perfectly.
